Our story: where everything started….

It was November 2005…
Yes, we have been on business for quite a long time now!

Everything started when Giovanna realised that all the cooking courses available in London were held during working hours and in areas of London difficult to reach.

Furthermore, she noted that there were not one-to-one classes, but training classes for up to 10 people. And she knew that a group lesson can be very enjoyable (if you find the right people, of course, otherwise it can also be very boring!), but is not particularly effective if you really want to learn one entire menu… and remember it!

Last but not least, Giovanna was finding only high-class, flashy courses with celebrity chefs (very expensive and not suitable for beginners or lovers of simple food) or low key, relatively cheap one-day courses, for people with plenty of time. Nothing in between, and nothing where you could choose your own menu!

That’s where the idea came from: courses for busy people (in the evening, after work, during weekends, basically when it is good for you), very practical and hands-on, without the need for commuting. But also courses at a very competitive price, where you can have a dinner party after the lesson with your family or friends with no chance for failure.

We have been the first and will remain always the best!

Our Chefs

Now the big question.
Who are we? Why should you accept “strangers” in your flat?
All our chefs have an extensive experience in cooking and catering.
And of course are all 100% Italian!

Giovanna:
Cooking has always been her passion, since she was a little girl. She started cooking under her grandma supervision, and she learned all the classic dishes of the Italian cuisine. She gained more confidence helping her uncle in his restaurant during summer holidays, preparing catering in Italy for up to 50 people, organising dinners at home every weekend for her friends and being trained in Michelin starred restaurants in London. She then decided to transform her passion in a business, and set up these courses. Don’t you think that she did the right thing?

Cristina:
Daughter of the Florentine owner of Dolce Vita, voted among the 100 Best Restaurants in US, Cristina learned all the secrets in her dad’s kitchen, and then moved to London with a mission: teaching people how to live la dolce vita!

Danilo:
He discovered his passion 10 years ago, when a friend convinced him to attend a cooking lesson in Milan. And at that point he also discovered his talent! He attended some regional cooking classes, workshops in Sicily and now he is ready to start transferring his knowledge and experience to you. Are you ready for this?
